A Decade on – Bliss Magazine Celebrates 10 Years
Malta’s leading weddings magazine is celebrating its landmark 10th anniversary this year. Our Wedding catches up with Bliss’ Editor and Brand Sales Manager ahead of its upcoming November issue.
From tear-jerking proposals to lavish wedding celebrations, Bliss magazine has shared some beautiful stories during its whopping ten years of existence. Loyal readers have grown to love the publication for its stories, visuals and array of wedding suppliers, making it a pleasant read-through and handy guide all in one.
Bliss Editor Sarah Micallef has been spearheading the magazine for some time now, and admits that she loves working on the publication for a variety of reasons.
“Learning about people’s stories appeals to the romantic in me, while delving into all the aspects of wedding planning is a fun way to gain insight and inspiration. Homes and interior décor are a hobby horse, so I enjoy discovering beautiful homes around the island. Co-ordinating the bridal shoot is a huge part of my job for Bliss, and while it can be difficult, it’s also by far the most rewarding,” she says. “The team behind Bliss are some of the very best in their field locally and work together to produce an interesting and beautiful publication, every single time.”
Merely months away from her very own wedding day, Bliss Sales Manager Jessica Catania says that the magazine has become synonymous with top wedding suppliers in Malta and Gozo.
“This gives the magazine a certain prestige. Also, the features included cover an array of topics – from wedding planning and home décor, to honeymoons and real weddings. The front cover is definitely another strength of the magazine – the attention given to each and every detail gives the publication style and elegance.”
Jessica adds that, with her own wedding fast approaching, she’s come to value the magazine even more than before. “Bliss has always been a favourite of mine, but now that I’m getting married, I have even more appreciation for it, knowing how useful it’s been for me personally in the process of planning my wedding.”
Packed with heart-warming articles each time, Sarah struggles to pick a favourite part of the mag. “It’s hard to choose, but I think what I love most is hearing people’s stories. Be it how a couple first met or a romantic proposal, a stressful wedding planning tale that all comes together in the end, or the difficult but rewarding process behind a home renovation – I love them all!”
