Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have enjoyed a whirlwind romance, but judging from the details known of their wedding celebration so far, which will take place over the weekend, their nuptials will be no rushed affair. Here’s a look at what we know so far.
The bride’s dresses
Priyanka is known for her dazzling sartorial choices. She stunned in white feathered outfits for her bridal shower and bachelorette party, so we can only imagine how incredibly gorgeous she’ll look in whatever she wears on her wedding day.
What we do know, however, is that she’s chosen Ralph Lauren to design her wedding dress for the Christian wedding ceremony – the same designer responsible for her memorable Met Gala appearances, which is where she and her future husband really started to hit it off. Priyanka is also expected to turn to India’s fashion A-list designers for her native Indian celebrations, all of which will take place in Jodphur.
The location
The couple have chosen the jaw-dropping Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodphur, India for their multi-day wedding celebration. The estate, which includes a throne chamber, marble squash courts, a museum and a lavish spa, is the home of the former royal family of Jodhpur and overlooks the city below, sprawled across 26 acres. So yes, this is basically another royal wedding.
The guests
The Jonas brothers and their respective significant others will of course be present for the destination wedding. Joe Jonas and fiancée Sophie Turner have long-arrived in Mumbai for the festivities, and Kevin and Danielle Jonas have also made their way over to India. Both brothers will be groomsmen, along with their youngest brother, Frankie.
Nick’s parents, Kevin Snr and Denise, will be in attendance for their son’s wedding, as will Madhu Chopra, Priyanka’s mother. The bride’s father, Dr Ashok Chopra, passed away five years ago. Priyanka’s brother, Siddarth Chopra, will likely also be one of Nick’s many groomsmen.
While a number of the couple’s many MANY friends will be in attendance, sadly, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won’t be. Priyanka had attended the royal wedding at Windsor last May, but due to distance and the Duchess’s progressing pregnancy, the royals decided to sit this one out.
