Christabelle: “Being able to do everything together once we’re married is what I’m looking forward to most.”
Christabelle, who won this year’s Malta Song For Europe with the song Taboo, certainly has an exciting year ahead.
After Christabelle Borg represents Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, Portugal this May with her song Taboo, her focus will turn to another major event – getting married to her long-time love Jordan Camilleri.
“I had surprised Jordan by telling him we were going to Italy, instead of New York, and he surprised me by proposing at the very top of the Empire State Building! Naturally, I was lost for words,” Christabelle told OurWedding.
Christabelle, who will be getting married on the 21st September, admits she’s a little bit behind on wedding planning. “All I have booked so far is the venue for the reception and the music! I also have a wedding dress in mind…but everything else has to happen after May.” You can expect to see quite a few familiar faces at Christabelle’s wedding – she plans to invite all her Eurovision friends and family who have been there throughout her journey.
This year, Christabelle and Jordan will be spending their Valentine’s Day apart – Christabelle in Lisbon, and Jordan in Croatia –so they had their romantic night out last weekend. But missing Valentine’s Day aside, Christabelle says she’s very excited to be getting married. “Just being able to do everything together, take decisions together, living together…that’s what I’m looking forward to most of all.”
