Miss World Malta organiser and presenter Claudia Calleja and her partner Franco Farrugia christened their four month-old son Alessandro at Mellieha Parish Church yesterday.

 The christening was followed by a get together at one of Mellieha’s finest restaurants, Rebekah’s Restaurant.
Alessandro, who was born in July, has three brothers and sisters – Chloe (13), Kiyan (11) and Francesco (2).

Claudia, who is also one of four siblings too, says she has always loved babies. “Children grow so fast – from babies, to toddlers to their First Holy Communion in the blink of an eye!”

“I had my first two children when I was in my twenties, and my last two towards the end of my thirties. When you’re a little bit more mature, you can really understand why they call childbirth a miracle.”

"I’ve got lots of plans and projects related to my network, but I’m in no hurry. I just want to see my children grow up happy and healthy, and that, God willing, we get to spend more time together as a family.”
