What has been described as Lebanon’s wedding of the year took place last Friday, when Elie Saab Jr, the eldest son of renowned designer Elie Saab, married Christina Mourad in Beirut.
The bride, as expected, wore a custom gown by her new father-in-law. The religious ceremony was held in the church of Bkerki and was attended by over 1,000 guests, according to The National lifestyle’s sources.
The festivities were moved to the exclusive Faqra Club while the pre-wedding celebrations were held at Le Plateau de Bakish, close to the club.
Guests included some of the biggest names in Lebanon with Assi El Hallani and Elissa and Michel Fadel all performing during the wedding. Celebrity make-up artist Bassam Fattouh was in attendance, and also did the bride’s make-up for her big day.
Christina wore a total of four impressive floor-length Elie Saab designs for the weekend-long occasion, all featuring intricate designs.
Following the festivities, Celio Saab, Elie Saab Jr’s younger brother shared an adorable snap of the bride and groom goofing around.
