Greenery: How to Incorporate Pantone’s Colour of the Year into your Wedding

Every year, Pantone announces its Colour of the Year – a perfect source of inspiration for brides everywhere. This year, it’s Greenery.

Greenery is Pantone’s 2017 Colour of the Year, and as with every other year, you can expect it to show up in all manner of wedding décor and attire!

If you’re keen to go green but are a bit stumped on how to incorporate it into your special day, don’t be – there’s a world of possibilities out there! Incorporating greenery into your wedding colours is a great way of adding lush pieces without breaking the bank.

Think natural details and going green when it comes to bouquets, table runners, bridesmaid dresses and boutonnieres – just perfect for a spring wedding! And as if the rise of greenery in floral décor and use of natural elements in weddings wasn’t a big enough trend, here’s the perfect excuse to really push the boat out.

“Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose,” says Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone's executive director. “This is the colour of hopefulness, and of our connection to nature... Every spring we enter a new cycle and new shoots come from the ground. It is something life-affirming to look forward to.”

And all this talk of fresh new beginnings is just perfect for a wedding, don’t you think?
