It’s a boy for Prince William and Kate Middleton

Kensington Palace confirmed that The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby boy. Born at 11:01am UK time, in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London, the new prince weighs 8 pounds, 7 ounces.

The youngest sibling to Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the Royal baby is now fifth in line to the throne, following Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte, while Prince Harry is now sixth.

The name of the child has not yet been announced, but this hasn’t stopped the public from speculating. According to betting agencies, the top favourites are Arthur and Philip.

The news comes just ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s highly-anticipated wedding. Will Britain's new Prince make his first appearance on the 19th May?
