Pippa Middleton and husband James Matthews welcomed a baby boy last Monday, 15th October. The baby was born late afternoon, weighing 8 pounds and 9 ounces. His name has not been announced yet.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson said Prince William and Kate Middleton were “thrilled” for the couple. Pippa’s new-born is the first nephew of older sister, Kate Middleton. Royal correspondent, Rebecca English tweeted that “everyone is delighted, and Mother and baby are doing well.”
The news follows Pippa’s appearance at the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital this week, the same maternity ward where Kate gave birth to her three children. The last social event the Duchess’s younger sister attended was last Friday’s royal wedding.
Pippa’s baby arrival is also in the midst of royal baby fever, as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on Monday morning, as they touched down in Australia for their first royal tour, that they are expecting their first child in the Spring of 2019.
Congratulations to the new parents!
