Kate Hudson is one happy mama! The actress and her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa, welcomed their first child together on 2nd October.
The mother of three took to Instagram to announce the happy news and the inspiration behind their daughter’s unique name. “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa,” Hudson explains. “Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honour.”
Back in April, Hudson announced in an Instagram video that she and Fujikawa were expecting a baby girl with a cute gender reveal party, where they popped balloons containing pink confetti.
Rani Rose is Hudson’s third child but first daughter to be added to her clan. She also has two boys, 14-year-old Ryder Russell from her marriage to ex-husband Chris Robinson, and 7-year-old Bingham Hawn from her relationship with Matt Bellamy.
Hudson added, “Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”
