Kensington Palace has announced that the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has been admitted to the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, Central London, where she previously gave birth to Prince George in 2013 and Princess Charlotte in 2015.

Many have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the royal baby, ever since the barriers were set up ahead of the birth at the Lindo Wing early in April.

The Palace announced in September last year that William and Kate are expecting their third child, but did not give an exact due date or an indication of the baby’s gender.

That hasn’t stopped bookmakers from placing their bets on favourite baby names, however. Among them are Mary, Alice, Alexandra, Elizabeth, and Victoria for a girl, and Arthur, Albert, Frederick, James and Philip for a boy. What will it be?
