For many parents trying to balance working from home with home schooling their kids during this extended period of social distancing and partial lockdown, the struggle is real.
MEP Roberta Metsola took to Facebook yesterday to share a post that is surely relatable to many other parents out there – negotiating the use of computers and laptops at home with her son.
Commenting to OurWedding about the photo, in which the MEP can be seen in serious discussion with her son while the family practices social distancing, Roberta quips that “teleworking and home-schooling were never meant to be combined.”
“Trying to explain that it's ‘my turn’ to use the computer, and that I needed it for a video call with the EPP leadership and European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen,” she wrote.
She did manage to requisition the laptop in the end. Can any parent relate to this?
