Miranda Kerr weds Snapchat Founder Evan Spiegel
Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel, who got married last May, open up about their wedding day.
Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr and Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel tied the knot last May in an elegant backyard wedding at their own home in Brentwood, California. The couple shared shots and details of their wedding day in the new edition of US Vogue.
Only 45 friends and family were present at the small and intimate ceremony as the couple exchanged their vows.
The bride wore a stunning custom Dior Haute couture gown created by the brand's new artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri. The gown was inspired by Grace Kelly’s iconic 1956 wedding dress, appliquéd with lilies of the valley, and worn with a long flowing veil. Miranda wore it with a pearl-encrusted headdress designed by milliner Stephen Jones.
The big day began with an hour of yoga for both Miranda and Evan, before ending late that night with a karaoke session.
Dinner was Miranda's signature dish, slow-roasted chicken scented with turmeric and lemon, replicated by caterers for everyone but Evan – Miranda cooked his dish herself.
Miranda’s six-year-old son Flynn was the ring bearer and joined his mother and new stepfather for the first dance.
And guess what – guests were banned from posting on social media – even on Snapchat!
