The newest newlyweds of the bunch, Ira Losco and Sean Gravina got hitched on 30th November in an intimate wedding between friends and family, followed by a reception at Casino Maltese in Valletta. Malta’s pop queen looked sensational in a custom dress by Rosemarie Abela, the true definition of ‘less is more’.

2. Jeanette & Ryan

Jeannette and Ryan met seven years ago at a wedding rehearsal, but little did they know they’ll be the ones tying the knot a few years down the line. The couple got married on 29th June at the Balluta Church followed by a reception at Palazzo Candela at Montekristo, and their romantic and royal-style wedding looked absolutely incredible!

3. Nicole & Kristian

It was a special day for Nicole and Kristian, who decided to have their intimate October wedding at home. Kristian spontaneously proposed in front of a waterfall while on holiday in Lebanon, and the couple went on to say ‘I do’ in the consecrated chapel found within the perimeters of her parents’ property, followed by a reception catered by Ta’ Frenc. Nicole’s close friend, designer Luke Azzopardi, gifted her the dress of her dreams.

4. Michelle & Richard

Michelle and Richard had a magnificent wedding with acute attention to detail. The couple tied the knot at the Attard Parish Church followed by a reception at the Waterfall Gardens at the Limestone Heritage in Siggiewi. They exchanged vows in front of 550 family members and friends who flew in from different parts of the world including Australia, Canada and the UK.

5. Elaine & Nick

Elaine and Nick’s wedding day was a night filled with nostalgia and a whole lot of love. The pair, both passionate bakers, got engaged at a Michelin Star restaurant in Rome while on a trip to see Nick’s favourite artist, Vasco Rossi. Elaine and Nick planned their wedding in 9 months, and said ‘I do’ at Our Lady of Victories church in Valletta, followed by a rooftop reception at The Sheer Bastion.

6. Noella & Matthew

A long romance lead to a dream wedding for Noella and Matthew. The couple got hitched back in April at Ta’ Giezu Church in Valletta, with drinks at Bridge Bar just around the corner, followed by a reception at Villa Arrigo in Naxxar. An important element for them was having their children present: Giorgia, Noella’s daughter from a previous relationship, and the couple’s eight-month-old son, Jamie.

7. Rebecca & James

Rebecca and James have been inseparable since they met at a party more than six years ago. After five years together, they made things more permanent when they started sharing a home together. After an intimate proposal at home, wedding planning was in full swing, and they got hitched in June at the stunning gardens of Villa Bologna surrounded by a total of 150 guests.

8. Nicole & Robert

After a stunning proposal atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Nicole and Robert’s wedding on a warm day in July was nothing short of spectacular. They said ‘I do’ at the Burmarrad parish church, followed by a reception at the historical venue of Villa Bighi in Kalkara. Everything was pulled off with exceptional flair, down to the last detail.

9. Sarah & James

From school mates to life partners, Sarah and James’ wedding was certainly one to remember. Following a beautiful proposal at Dingli Cliffs, the couple set the date for 23rd June, and exchanged vows at the Attard parish church followed by a reception at Razzett l-Abjad, which perfectly complimented their chosen wedding theme.

10. Lisa & Byron

Love blossomed at 30,000 feet for pilots Lisa and Byron. The couple got married in July at the Sacred Heart College Chapel and later headed to Villa Corinthia in Attard for their stunning reception, which is also where Lisa’s parents got married. They chose to keep things classic for the most part, but added details and elements to their big day to create a wedding that “was totally us.”

11. Stefania & Anthony

Stefania and Anthony’s love story is heart-warming, and, although Anthony isn’t particularly romantic, he surprised Stefania with a proposal on their shared birthday, 2nd March. The couple tied the knot on 21st September at Lapsi Church followed by a reception at Villa Arrigo, entertained by none other than The Travellers. They even danced to Dak li int, an original song by the Maltese band.
