Danish tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki married former NBA star David Lee last weekend in Tuscany, Italy, and she entrusted none other than fellow tennis champion, Serena Williams, to be one of her bridesmaids.
“@carowozniacki @davidlee I was so happy to see such two amazing people united with love. Here’s to a lifetime together,” Serena wrote on Instagram.
The couple tied the knot on Saturday 15th June at Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, and the bride looked splendid in a custom Oscar de la Renta wedding gown that featured floral-embroidered lace and a bustier bodice, complete with a cathedral-length tulle veil.
The handsome groom wore a classic tux for his big day, while the beautiful bridesmaids wore seafoam-coloured dresses in different styles – Serena’s gown featured thin straps and a willowy skirt, paired with comfy flats.
The guest list was naturally replete with sport champions, including tennis stars Angelique Kerber, and sisters Aga and Urszula Radwanska. On the basketball side, Pau Gasol and Harrison Barnes were also in attendance.
