Singer Glen Vella Gets Engaged to his Partner of 16 years
It all went down in the city of love and light.
Yesterday, Maltese singer Glen Vella shared a heartfelt post on Instagram documenting a major highlight during his trip to Paris: his engagement!
Glen’s partner, Sandro, pulled out all the stops for the proposal, which Glen hadn’t the slightest clue about. The couple were on a solo trip to Paris for a short break; a kind of trip they don’t get to do very often.
Glen told Xarabank “Sandro organised a photo shoot and informed the photographer about his plan. Towards the end of the shoot, Sandro got down on one knee and proposed. I was so overwhelmed I couldn’t stop smiling and crying with happiness. Although I consider these kind of occasions to be very intimate moments, the way he planned it was perfect, and the location he chose was indeed very intimate albeit in a public place!”
Glen and Sandro have been dating for 16 years. The pair met during a musical production, in which Glen was singing and Sandro was dancing. Asked when they’ll probably tie the knot, Glen said “it took 16 years for the proposal to happen, and it will probably be another 16 years until we get married!”
