“Something new” offers optimism for the future. The couple is entering a new chapter in life, so it makes total sense for them to sport “something new” on their wedding day. Most brides opt for a new piece of jewellery, an accessory, or even count their wedding attire as something new.
“Something borrowed” is believed to bring good luck to the couple. They would usually borrow something from a happily married friend or relative, hoping their good luck in marriage rubs off on them.
