One week after the christening of Prince Louis, the youngest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton, on 9th July, official photos have been released by Kensington Palace, and they’re more than we could have hoped for.
The portraits, shot by Matt Holyoak, were chosen by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and capture the awe that surrounds this family in a superb way.
In the first shot, the Cambridges are accompanied by Kate’s parents, siblings and brother-in-law on one side, and by Prince Charles and Camilla, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the other.
In an adorable shot of the royals alone, a seated Prince William and Kate Middleton can be seen flanked by Prince Charles and Camilla as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, while their older children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, steal all the attention with their wonderfully candid expressions.
The Cambridges go on to share a family portrait of the five of them alone – between Kate and William’s beaming faces, George’s decorum and Charlotte’s cheeky smile, we’re not sure who won this photo!
But Kensington Palace did save the best for last. The photographer outdid himself with this shot of the Duchess cradling her 12-week old son in the garden at Clarence House following the christening. She appears so happy, and the prince so peaceful – perfection!
