This month, beloved actress Olivia Newton-John would have turned 74.
Unfortunately, the Grease actress passed away last August after enduring a long battle with cancer.
Nonetheless, her husband, John Easterling (otherwise known as Amazon John) took to Instagram to share a sweet little anecdote from their relationship to honour his late wife on her birthday.
He started off by recalling the first birthday they had spent together. He took her on “a week-long adventure” to a secluded island in the Bahamas where they had a memorable week, to say the least.
“It was private, it was wonderful, and we would take the boat to an uninhabited island and beach it and just explore - just the two of us,” he wrote.
One day however, they took a trip to the Great Guana Cay on a small boat and ran into some trouble as the “wind started picking up”.
“But as quickly as the storms started, the winds died down, the rain stopped, the sun poked through and the seas turned back into that beautiful turquoise,” he continued
“Olivia looked at me like I was a superhero, and I knew it was mostly blind faith and dumb luck"
“As the dolphins led us over the gorgeous aqua water, under the rainbow towards the lighthouse, we both recognized the fingerprints of the supernatural were all over this—and that's the way we lived our life,” John recalled.
“Every day with Olivia there was a hint of magic and every day with Olivia was a bit of the supernatural. Happy Birthday Honey – I Love You,” he concluded.
The two got married in an Incan spiritual ceremony on 21st June 2008, with the legal ceremony occurring later on that month in Florida.
