Time to Say Goodbye: Barack & Michelle Obama’s cutest moments
Their days at the White House are numbered, but their heart-warming affection for one another has never wavered. He might not have been our President, but these photos show the universal appeal of love.
1. The time they looked like two teenagers leaving a prom

2. Or showed their support no matter how big or small the task ahead is
The couple was waiting to speak at a rally on the campus of Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in October 2010.
3. The many times they were happy to not look too serious
Like when driving through the inaugural parade in Washington, D.C. in January 2013.
4. Or show their affection for each other
The President is seen hugging the first lady in the Red Room while a senior advisor smiles at them in March 2009.
5. When they pulled some punches for fun
The Obamas posed for photos at the Instagram #GimmeFive photo booth in the East Room of the White House during the annual Easter Egg Roll in April 2015.
6. And showed that a gentle touch means the world
They were seen resting their hands on the railing of a boat during a tour of St Andrew’s Bay in Panama City Beach, Florida, in August 2010.
7. When not even an attentive crowd could stop him from planting a sweet kiss
Michelle Obama’s remarks at an Affordable Care Act reception in the East Room of the White House in May 2014 struck a chord.
8. Not to mention their smooth dance moves

9. And their unspoken words
They shared a tender moment while waiting in the Map Room of the White House before welcoming Mexican President Felipe Calderón in May 2010.
10. And last but not least, their steadfast support
“I was moving around trying to capture different scenes away from the stage during an event to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday and the Selma to Montgomery civil rights marches,” said official White House photographer Pete Souza. “When I glanced back towards the stage, I noticed the President and first lady holding hands as they listened to the remarks of Rep. John Lewis. I managed to squeeze off a couple of frames before they began to applaud, and the moment was gone.”
