Trend alert: Wax-sealed Wedding Invitations

Move over standard envelopes, hello gorgeous wax seals!

More than ever before, couples planning to tie the knot can personalise every aspect of their wedding, right down to the seal on their wedding envelopes. And why opt for a normal adhesive envelope when you can close your invites with a stunning wax seal?

The practice of wax-sealing dates back many centuries, where the embossing method used directly on wax authenticated documents and served as proof of identification. Today, its use is a lot less serious, and by far a lot prettier.

Couples can custom-order a wax stamp with their very own monogram (you’ll find loads of suppliers on Etsy), or with a symbol that’s personal to them, such as a rose, heart or the word ‘love’. You can even engrave your own symbols onto a wooden block if you enjoy a little DIY. Get your hands on some wax candles in a gorgeous array of colours, and have a blast stamping your envelopes.

Not convinced? Look no further for the (sorry!) seal of approval.
